Vijay Kumar Sharma Government Teacher success story has drawn attention after the 59-year-old from Uttar Pradesh secured a TGT Sanskrit teaching post following 27 years of attempts. Sharma, from Baghpat, began appearing for government recruitment examinations in 1999. He cleared the TGT written examination six times and the PGT examination four times, but did not make the final selection after several interview attempts. Sharma has now been selected as a TGT Sanskrit teacher at an aided secondary school in Shamli district. He received his appointment letter at a programme in Lucknow on September 22. For nearly 26 years, he continued teaching in private schools while preparing for competitive examinations. His appointment followed a recruitment process that did not include an interview stage.
