Delhi Innovation Challenge 2026 has been launched with a ₹2 crore prize pool to encourage students and young innovators to develop technology-based solutions. Delhi Higher Education Minister Ashish Sood launched the Seva-First Innovation Challenge at Delhi Technological University as part of a broader youth-focused initiative. The 100-day challenge invites participants to work on real-world issues including agriculture, waste management and education. Alongside competition, the programme is expected to provide mentorship, government support and links to the startup ecosystem. Delhi government-school students are also being encouraged to participate in the wider Sewa Sankalp Abhiyan through creative activities focused on public service and civic responsibility. The innovation challenge reflects a growing emphasis on project-based learning, entrepreneurship and technology-driven problem solving. For students, such competitions can provide opportunities to develop prototypes, teamwork, communication and presentation skills while addressing practical community problems.
