Karnataka SSLC SA-1 Exam: Board to Set Papers for Schools

Karnataka SSLC SA-1 Exam will follow a centrally prepared question-paper system, with KSEAB setting uniform papers for students across the state. The First Summative Assessment for the 2026-27 academic year is scheduled from September 23 to 30. The Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board will prepare the question papers and upload the scheduled paper to the respective high school headmaster’s login on the examination day. Schools will download, print and distribute the papers to students under the prescribed process. The papers will also carry a watermark showing the school code. The new system is designed to make the examination process more organised, familiarise students with the preparatory examination format and reduce opportunities for malpractice. Authorities have warned of strict legal action against question-paper leaks, copying, photography or circulation through social media and messaging platforms. The move gives SSLC students greater exposure to a structured examination system before the final board examination.
