IIT Hyderabad Kaynes Semicon partnership aims to strengthen semiconductor research, advanced packaging technologies and industry-focused talent development in India. IIT Hyderabad and Kaynes Semicon signed a two-year memorandum of understanding during SEMICON India 2026 in New Delhi. The collaboration will bring together the institute’s research ecosystem and Kaynes Semicon’s industry expertise in semiconductor assembly, testing and packaging. The partnership will explore joint research projects, technical publications, faculty and research scholar exchanges, student internships and industry-led training programmes. It will also support workshops, academic programmes and curriculum development aligned with emerging semiconductor technologies. The initiative will be coordinated through IIT Hyderabad’s Wadhwani Innovation Network Centre of Excellence. Faculty members and researchers are expected to conduct workshops and academic enrichment programmes for Kaynes Semicon engineers. The partnership is also designed to support deep-tech translation and commercialisation, connecting academic research with industrial applications and helping to develop skilled talent for India’s growing semiconductor ecosystem.
