IIT Bhubaneswar Semiconductor Research Gets Boost Through IIT Dhanbad Tie-Up

IIT Bhubaneswar and IIT ISM Dhanbad collaboration for semiconductor research

IIT Bhubaneswar semiconductor research is set to expand through a new collaboration with IIT (ISM) Dhanbad focusing on joint research and academic exchanges. The two institutes signed a five-year memorandum of understanding on September 16, covering joint research programmes, collaborative projects and reciprocal supervision of doctoral students. Semiconductor technology and basic sciences have been identified as initial areas of cooperation. The partnership will also support faculty and student exchanges, visiting and adjunct faculty opportunities, seminars, teaching-learning sessions and research observations. Researchers from both institutions will explore opportunities to secure external funding and share experimental resources. The institutes will also examine the development and joint use of large-scale experimental facilities to support specialised research. Joint discussion meetings will be organised to build expertise in identified areas. The collaboration is expected to create additional opportunities for students, researchers and faculty while strengthening academic cooperation in semiconductor technology and related scientific fields.
