NTA AI Translation Reviewers: New Role for Exam Translators

NTA AI Translation Reviewers will now check and certify AI-generated translations of examination questions before they are used in national-level tests. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has changed the traditional role of translators as part of its examination-process overhaul. Under the new system, an AI-based translation platform installed at NTA premises will handle the bulk of translation from English into Indian languages. Human translation reviewers will then examine the output for linguistic, technical, scientific and contextual errors, suggest corrections and certify the final version. The NTA conducts major examinations including NEET, JEE Main, CUET and UGC-NET in multiple languages. Reviewers will work under monitored conditions in a secure NTA facility and will see individual questions in randomised order rather than the complete examination paper. The changes are part of wider measures.
