Kalaburagi IT Park is among the new initiatives announced for Kalyana Karnataka, with a planned 30-acre facility aimed at expanding the region’s technology and innovation sectors. The project was announced during the 79th Kalyana Karnataka Utsav in Kalaburagi. Alongside the IT Park, the government plans to establish KRIYA — Kalaburagi Research, Innovation and Youth Accelerator — to support innovation, startups and young entrepreneurs. The government has also proposed a Kalyana Karnataka Economy Mission to encourage industrial growth and investment in the region. Other announced initiatives include a Bio Economy Mission, sports infrastructure, an AI-based CCTV network and tourism projects. A Sports City is planned at Hadgil Haruti village in Kalaburagi taluk, with indoor and outdoor facilities for various sports. The initiatives are part of a broader development plan covering technology, investment, entrepreneurship, infrastructure and employment opportunities across Kalyana Karnataka.
