Sathya Sai University AI Centre to Open in Dakshina Kannada

Sathya Sai University AI Centre coming up in Madiyala Dakshina Kannada

Sathya Sai University AI Centre will bring advanced technology education to rural Dakshina Kannada. The university will open a higher education centre at Madiyala village, near Vitla, in November 2026, with student admissions expected to begin from June 2027. The centre will focus on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Computational Science. Students will undertake four-year programmes along with a one-year internship, providing both academic learning and practical exposure. The initiative is being established in the birthplace of Madiyala Narayana Bhat, founder of Loka Seva Vrinda, as part of his birth centenary celebrations. The university says the centre aims to add advanced technology education to the region’s existing educational ecosystem. The project could provide students from rural areas with access to emerging technology education closer to home. It also reflects the growing focus on preparing young people for careers shaped by AI, machine learning and computational technologies.
