University of Bristol Mumbai campus has officially opened and welcomed its first batch of students, marking the university’s first international campus. The Mumbai Enterprise Campus began operations on September 10 and is expected to focus on areas including data science and finance. The University of Bristol said the new campus reflects its long-term commitment to India and the country’s expanding role in the global knowledge economy. Approval for the campus was granted in July 2025 during an event marking five years of India’s National Education Policy 2020. The opening adds another major foreign university presence to India’s expanding international higher-education landscape.
