AI Skills for Jobs are becoming increasingly important as Indian technology companies restructure work around human-AI collaboration and large-scale employee training. Wipro CTO Sandhya Arun said that the company’s AI initiatives had created productivity capacity equivalent to the work of about 20,000 employees, with workers redeployed to other roles rather than simply replaced. More than 100,000 Wipro employees have received advanced AI training and certifications. For students, the message is clear: learning AI should go beyond using popular tools. Future-ready candidates should build skills in data analysis, problem-solving, communication, AI-assisted productivity and responsible technology use. Students should also develop domain knowledge because AI tools work best when combined with subject expertise. Building projects, completing practical courses and learning how to work alongside AI systems can strengthen employability. The goal should be AI literacy plus strong human skills, rather than relying on AI alone.
