IIT Bombay Imperial College London partnership marks a new phase of collaboration between the two leading institutions in research, education and innovation. The partnership will initially focus on clean technology and medical technology, while supporting joint research programmes, academic workshops and student entrepreneurship initiatives. The agreement will also create opportunities for students and researchers to take part in exchanges and placements between Mumbai and London, work on joint projects and share knowledge and data. Existing research areas include water management, energy security, disease modelling and climate science. The collaboration is expected to create wider opportunities for innovation and global research. This year, 170 IIT Bombay students enrolled in Imperial Enterprise Lab’s Global Challenge Lab to develop startup ideas with guidance from industry experts.
