UK Student Visa Maintenance Funds to Rise in November 2026

UK Student Visa Maintenance Funds rise for Indian students in 2026

UK Student Visa Maintenance Funds will increase for international students from November 30, 2026, raising the financial requirement for Indian students planning to study in Britain. The updated UK immigration rules require students to show more money for living expenses while studying. For courses in London, students will need to demonstrate £1,570 per month, up from £1,529. For courses outside London, the requirement will rise to £1,203 per month, compared with the current £1,171. For the maximum nine-month period, students studying in London will need to show up to £14,130, while those outside London will need up to £10,827. This amount is separate from tuition fees. Indian students planning UK university applications should factor the revised financial requirement into their study-abroad budget and visa planning.
