Hindi Medium BTech in Madhya Pradesh has been introduced in Civil Engineering at Shri G S Institute of Technology and Science (SGSITS), Indore, from the current academic session. The new programme aims to help students from Hindi-medium schools to pursue engineering without facing difficulties with English-language instruction. Thirty seats have been earmarked for the special Civil Engineering batch, with around 20 students already admitted. Students who continue in the Hindi-medium programme will be eligible for a ₹2 lakh incentive from the Madhya Pradesh government in their final year. The initiative has been introduced in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) to make technical education more accessible. SGSITS spent several years preparing for the programme, including translating technical study materials into Hindi and training faculty members. Students will also receive English-language support to remain competitive in higher education and employment.
