Delhi University AI Training will reach up to 10,000 students through a new partnership with semiconductor company AMD focused on practical artificial intelligence skills. The partnership, announced on September 4, will introduce AMD’s AI Engage Developer Program at the university. Students and academic staff will receive access to AMD’s ROCm open-source AI software platform, learning resources and developer GPU cloud credits. The initiative will also include technical workshops, AI-focused learning and opportunities for practical experimentation. The programme aims to help students move beyond theoretical knowledge and gain experience with tools used in real-world AI development. The collaboration reflects a broader shift in higher education, where universities are increasingly combining classroom learning with industry platforms and practical technology exposure. For students, such programmes can provide opportunities to build projects, strengthen technical portfolios and understand how AI is applied across different professional fields.
