IIT Delhi Solar Systems and Management PG Diploma has marked the beginning of academic activities at the institute’s Sonipat campus. The one-year programme is being offered by IIT Delhi’s Department of Energy Science and Engineering in collaboration with the International Solar Alliance (ISA) and INES, France. The inaugural batch began on September 3, 2026, with nine international fellows from eight countries. The programme focuses on practical training in solar technology and its applications, with classes led by IIT Delhi faculty, industry experts and other specialists. After completing the diploma, fellows will undertake a one-month internship in Europe focused on applied solar technologies. They will then work with Solar Technology Application Resource Centres (STAR-C) in their respective countries. The programme is sponsored by UNIDO and aims to strengthen solar-energy skills and support renewable-energy development across ISA member countries.
