Indian Gen Z Upskilling Burnout is emerging as a major concern as young Indians face growing pressure to continuously learn new skills amid rapid AI adoption. A new Emeritus report, based on 1,010 respondents aged 15 to 28 across major Indian metros, found that 60% feel burned out by the pressure to continuously upskill. At the same time, 75% believe learning the right skills is essential to remain competitive. AI is becoming central to this learning shift, with 82% saying they use AI or GenAI tools at least weekly for learning or skill development. The report also highlights changing education choices, with 48% of respondents who had considered studying abroad reporting reduced interest over the past year.
