Karnataka Government School Teachers AI adoption is showing growing acceptance, according to a new JanAI survey covering 797 government-school teachers across Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Maharashtra. The survey found that 72% of teachers feel positive about AI, while 26% use AI tools regularly. Teachers mainly use AI to simplify difficult concepts, create examples and classroom activities, and prepare worksheets and assessments. The report also highlighted concerns about student over-dependence and data privacy. Among teachers who said AI makes them more effective, 86% worried that students could become over dependent on the technology. More than half of AI-using teachers reported about entering student information such as names, marks or photographs into AI tools. JanAI plans to train 50,000 rural government-school teachers as AI change agents over the next 12–18 months.
