7 year old Indian origin boy in the UK has achieved an exceptional academic milestone by securing Grade 8 in the GCSE Higher Mathematics examination, a qualification usually taken by students around the age of 16. Jivyan Reddy Dhruva scored 196 out of 240 marks across three papers in the Pearson Edexcel GCSE Higher Mathematics exam. Jivyan sat the exam in May and received his results last week. Although he initially hoped for a Grade 9, he was pleased with his Grade 8 result, which is broadly equivalent to an A under the older GCSE grading system. Home-educated since February, Jivyan enjoys solving challenging mathematical problems and exploring different ways to reach answers. His next goal is to study A-level Mathematics and Further Mathematics. His parents also use AI tools to make learning more interactive while ensuring he has sufficient time to enjoy childhood.
