GATE 2027 registration is expected to begin soon, and IIT Madras has advised candidates to prepare their documents and create or update their verified DigiLocker accounts before applying. For this year’s examination, DigiLocker registration is mandatory for Indian nationals, and the platform will fetch important candidate details. Applicants should keep a recent photograph, signature, valid photo ID and relevant category or disability certificates ready, wherever applicable. Candidates will also need details of their degree, college or institute, preferred GATE paper and examination cities while completing the application. IIT Madras has introduced a new Robotics and Automation paper for GATE 2027, and has also announced revised syllabi and changes to paper combinations. Students planning to appear should therefore check the official GATE website regularly for the registration opening date and carefully verify all information before submitting the application.
