GATE 2027 Registration has begun through the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) portal. IIT Madras, the organising institute, has opened applications from August 27, with candidates able to submit forms without a late fee until September 27, 2026. The extended application window with a late fee will remain open until October 5. The GATE 2027 examination will be conducted on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21, 2027. Candidates can use GATE scores for admission to MTech, ME, PhD and other postgraduate programmes, while several PSUs also use GATE scores for recruitment. Eligible candidates should keep their photograph, signature, valid photo ID, academic documents and applicable certificates ready before applying. Indian candidates are required to use DigiLocker for registration. The application fee is ₹1,000 per paper for women, SC, ST and PwD candidates and ₹2,000 for other candidates during the regular application period.
