CTET September 2026 applications have been reopened by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) for candidates who could not register during the earlier application window. The application portal opened on August 25 and will remain available until September 1, 2026. The 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test was earlier scheduled for September, but CBSE has postponed the examination. The revised CTET exam date will be announced after the reopened application window closes. Candidates who had already successfully submitted their applications during the earlier registration period need not have to apply again. The earlier application window was open from May 11 to June 10, 2026. CBSE said the additional opportunity follows the Supreme Court’s emphasis on giving eligible teachers reasonable time to meet the prescribed TET qualification requirement.
