IIM Bangalore graduate PC Musthafa overcame poverty and a Class 6 dropout setback to build iD Fresh Food into a business with ₹681 crore in annual revenue. PC Musthafa has an inspiring journey from financial hardship to entrepreneurship. Growing up in Kerala’s Wayanad district, Musthafa left school after failing in Class 6 and worked alongside his father, who was a coolie. A teacher later encouraged him to return to school and supported his education. Musthafa went on to excel academically, earned a BTech from NIT Calicut and completed an MBA from IIM Bangalore. He later worked as a software engineer before returning to Bengaluru to pursue entrepreneurship. In 2005, he and his cousins started iD Fresh Food from a small 50-square-foot kitchen, initially selling fresh idli and dosa batter. The company has since expanded across India and international markets. Its FY2025 revenue from operations reached ₹681.38 crore.
