CAT 2026 IIM admission will not depend only on candidates’ performance in the Common Admission Test. IIMs follow their own shortlisting criteria, and the selection process can vary from one institute to another. CAT 2026 is scheduled to be conducted by IIM Indore on November 29, with registration expected to remain open until September 15. For the next stage, IIMs may consider previous academic performance, relevant work experience, gender diversity and academic diversity in addition to CAT scores. Candidates shortlisted for further rounds may have to appear for a Writing Ability Test, Group Discussion or Personal Interview, depending on the institute.
