CISCE SHINE 2026 has been launched to help schools track student learning beyond traditional annual examinations. SHINE stands for Student Holistic Insight and Nurturing Evaluation and is designed to assess learning patterns at key stages of schooling. The programme covers students currently enrolled in Classes IV, VI and IX, with assessments based on competencies expected after Classes III, V and VIII. Class IV students will take a game-based assessment, while Classes VI and IX students will undergo digital assessments. The initiative aims to help schools identify learning gaps, understand individual student progress and develop targeted improvement strategies. CISCE’s broader assessment framework emphasises tracking learning outcomes and using assessment information to support students. Registration for SHINE 2026 began on August 21, 2026.
