Karnataka textbook Delay: Private Schools Students Still Waiting

Karnataka private school students affected by textbook delay

Karnataka textbook delay is causing concern among private schools and students, with several institutions reportedly still waiting for textbooks even after two months of the new academic year. The delay has raised questions about the timely supply of essential learning materials and its impact on classroom teaching. Private schools depend on the Karnataka Textbook Society for textbooks prescribed under the state syllabus, and the distribution process has faced challenges this academic year. Earlier, the Karnataka Textbook Society introduced a system under which private schools were required to pay an advance amount before textbook supplies were processed. Reports in March said thousands of private schools had yet to complete the required payment, while schools that paid earlier were to receive priority in distribution. The situation highlights the importance of timely textbook availability, particularly when students and teachers are expected to begin lessons according to the academic calendar.
