Karnataka Teacher Recruitment 2026 has opened district-wise notifications for 900 General Kannada Teacher posts in government primary schools across the state. The Department of School Education, Karnataka, has released separate notifications for different educational districts. Selected candidates will teach Kannada to students from Classes 1 to 5. Applicants must meet the educational qualifications specified in the relevant district notification and have secured at least 50% marks in PUC or an equivalent qualification. Candidates must also possess a prescribed teacher-education qualification such as D.El.Ed, B.El.Ed or Diploma in Education (Special Education), as applicable. A qualifying Teacher Eligibility Test is also required, with KARTET or CTET accepted subject to the conditions in the official notification. Candidates should check their district-specific notification carefully for vacancies, eligibility and other requirements before applying.
