64-Year-Old MTech Graduate from Uttar Pradesh has shown that age need not limit learning, completing his engineering master’s degree among the top 10 students in his class and now setting his sights on IIM Lucknow. Despite travelling nearly 1,000 km every week for work and managing demanding professional responsibilities, he pursued higher education alongside his career. His achievement is particularly notable because his classmates were much younger, yet he finished among the top 10 in the batch. After retiring in 2022, he returned to work as Deputy CEO of a regulatory body overseeing municipal corporations in Uttar Pradesh. His journey demonstrates that learning does not have to stop with a conventional retirement age. He is now looking towards IIM Lucknow for another academic opportunity, reinforcing a powerful message for professionals and students alike: education can remain a lifelong pursuit, regardless of age or career stage.
