NTA exam security reforms with four-tier question paper checks

NTA exam security is set for a major overhaul following concerns over the quality and security of question papers. Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi has directed the National Testing Agency (NTA) to strengthen its examination system and conduct a comprehensive review. As part of the reforms, around 600 subject experts have reportedly been removed from NTA examination panels, while new experts are being brought in. The agency will also introduce a four-tier scrutiny system for question papers before examinations. The government has further called for stronger security at NTA offices, including CISF-secured premises. The measures are aimed at improving question-paper quality, preventing security lapses and ensuring greater transparency in national-level examinations. The reforms are expected to strengthen confidence among students appearing for major exams conducted by the NTA.
