Free NEET JEE Coaching could provide a major boost to students who cannot afford expensive private coaching for India’s most competitive entrance examinations. The Centre is reportedly considering launching a nationwide initiative as early as October 2, focusing initially on NEET and JEE preparation. The proposal is aimed at addressing disparities in access to coaching, particularly for students from economically weaker backgrounds and underserved regions. NEET and JEE preparation has increasingly become linked to access to specialised coaching, creating concerns about unequal opportunities between students from different socioeconomic backgrounds. If implemented, the programme could give more students access to structured lessons, study material, mock tests and examination guidance. However, students and parents should wait for the official scheme guidelines before relying on specific eligibility criteria, course structure or registration dates.
