L&T AI Factory Chennai is set to become a major addition to India’s artificial intelligence infrastructure. Larsen & Toubro has secured a mega order worth between ₹10,000 crore and ₹15,000 crore to build the facility for US-based AI cloud company Together AI. The AI Factory will be developed at L&T’s Vyoma. AI Chennai data centre campus and will have the capacity to host 10,000 NVIDIA B300 GPUs. The facility will support large-scale AI training, inference and fine-tuning workloads. The Chennai campus has been planned as a gigawatt-scale AI infrastructure site. Its first phase is designed for 250 MW, with power infrastructure readiness of 150 MVA, allowing future expansion. The project marks L&T’s entry into the AI Factory business and highlights the growing demand for advanced computing infrastructure in India. The facility is expected to strengthen India’s AI ecosystem while supporting global AI applications and innovation.
