Karnataka teacher recruitment 2026 has been announced by the School Education Department for 15,000 teaching vacancies across government schools in the state. The online application process will begin on August 18, 2026, and candidates can apply until September 7. The vacancies include 8,500 Graduate Primary Teacher (GPT) posts, 4,500 Assistant Master posts, 900 Primary School Teacher posts, 600 Physical Education Teacher posts and 500 Computer Science Teacher posts. Of the total vacancies, 6,967 posts are allocated to Kalyana Karnataka and 8,033 to the non-Kalyana Karnataka region. Candidates will be able to apply online through the Karnataka School Education Department’s prescribed portal. The application fee payment deadline is September 10, 2026, while the examination date will be announced later.The selection process will include a competitive examination, followed by applicable post-specific stages and document verification.
