Agriculture Scholarships 2026 has received a major boost with the Union Agriculture Ministry launching the National Scholarship Portal (NSP)—Direct Benefit Transfer system for agriculture students. Scholarships and fellowships worth Rs 21.35 crore have already been released to more than 6,000 students. The new system aims to make scholarship payments faster, transparent, and more efficient through direct bank transfers. Eligible students can apply through the NSP after completing One-Time Registration (OTR). For the 2026-27 academic year, the portal opened on June 1. The deadline for most post-matric and higher education scholarships is October 31, while institute-level verification is scheduled by November 15. Agriculture students should check the relevant scholarship scheme, complete the application, and upload the required documents before the deadline.
