DigiLocker Australia Study: New Tool for Indian Students

DigiLocker Australia Study document verification for Indian students

DigiLocker Australia Study applications are set to become easier with the launch of AAERI Verify, a new platform developed by the Association of Australian Education Representatives in India (AAERI) in collaboration with the National e-Governance Division (NeGD). The DigiLocker-integrated system enables secure, paperless and consent-based verification of academic, identity and financial documents. The platform is designed to simplify credential checks for Indian students applying to Australian universities. Students can share authentic, issuer-verified digital documents directly through DigiLocker, reducing dependence on physical paperwork and manual verification. AAERI Verify uses a two-stage verification process. The first check takes place before the university application, while the second, or sponsor check, is conducted after a student receives an admission offer to verify financial documents. The initiative could help to reduce processing time, improve document security and lower the risk of fraudulent credentials. DigiLocker already provides students with secure access to digitally issued academic records and supports consent-based sharing and verification.
