IIT Madras ANRF Grant recognition has been awarded to six professors who have been offered the prestigious ANRF J.C. Bose Grant for their outstanding research contributions. IIT Madras ANRF Grant recognition has brought national attention to six faculty members selected for the prestigious Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) J.C. Bose Grant. The award recognises senior scientists and engineers for outstanding research and contributions to science and technology.The six IIT Madras professors are Sujatha Srinivasan, Thalappil Pradeep, Deepa Venkitesh, Jitendra S. Sangwai, Ramakrishnan Swaminathan and Sundargopal Ghosh. They represent departments including Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Applied Mechanics and Biomedical Engineering.The IIT Madras ANRF Grant provides ₹25 lakh annually for five years to support frontier research, including equipment, research personnel, consumables, travel and other research-related expenses. Selection is based on research achievements such as publications, patents, technology transfer and research outcomes.
