GATE 2027 DigiLocker is now a mandatory requirement for Indian candidates applying for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2027. IIT Madras, the organising institute, announced that registrations will open on August 14, 2026, and applicants must link a verified DigiLocker account before completing the application. Personal details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, address, profile photograph, and verified identity details will be automatically fetched from DigiLocker to simplify the registration process and reduce errors. Candidates are advised to create or update their DigiLocker accounts in advance to avoid delays. GATE 2027 is scheduled to be conducted on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027, and serves as a gateway for postgraduate admissions, scholarships, and recruitment by several Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs).
