Australian Consulate Bengaluru has officially inaugurated its permanent Consulate-General premises in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone in Australia–India relations. The inauguration was attended by Australian Assistant Minister for Citizenship, Customs and Multicultural Affairs Julian Hill MP and senior Karnataka government officials. The new diplomatic office is expected to strengthen collaboration in higher education, research, innovation, technology, investment and trade between Australia and Karnataka. Bengaluru has become an important destination for Australian universities and businesses, making the permanent consulate a strategic step in expanding bilateral cooperation.
