UGC One-Year Online PG Program Under NEP 2020

UGC One-Year Online PG Program allows eligible universities to offer one-year postgraduate courses through online and distance learning for students with four-year undergraduate degrees under NEP 2020 .UGC One-Year Online PG Program has been approved to enable eligible higher education institutions to offer one-year postgraduate courses through Online and Open and Distance Learning (ODL) mode. The initiative is available for students who have completed a four-year undergraduate degree under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 framework. However, only universities already recognised by the University Grants Commission to offer the corresponding two-year postgraduate program in online or ODL mode can introduce the one-year version. The UGC has also clarified that curriculum, credit requirements, assessments, and academic standards must comply with existing regulations. The move is expected to provide greater flexibility, improve access to higher education, and support lifelong learning for graduates across India.
