NEET UG 2026 Counselling Changes have been introduced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) to make the admission process faster, more transparent and student-friendly. Candidates seeking a seat upgrade no longer need to report to their allotted college during the counselling process physically. Registration from an allotted seat can now be completed entirely through the MCC portal, while NRI candidates can upload their supporting documents online. The revised system also moves towards one-time physical reporting after the final seat allotment, reducing multiple visits to colleges. Additionally, MCC has instructed authorities to provide clear information on seat availability and fee structures to help candidates make informed choices during counselling.
