Nandan Nilekani leading the government task force for National Testing Agency examination reforms.

Nandan Nilekani Exam Reforms Task Force has been constituted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to recommend comprehensive reforms for India’s examination system following concerns over paper leaks and exam transparency. The six-member panel, headed by Infosys co-founder and Aadhaar architect Nandan Nilekani, has been tasked with modernising the National Testing Agency (NTA) through technology-driven solutions, stronger governance and structural reforms. The committee includes experts from education, technology and public administration who will recommend measures to improve examination security, digital infrastructure, candidate experience and operational efficiency. The government is also preparing legislative changes to curb unfair practices in public examinations. The recommendations are expected to strengthen the credibility of national entrance examinations such as NEET, CUET and JEE while restoring confidence among students and parents.
