Karnataka’s 145-Year-Old Government School Embraces AI for Learning with Innovative Digital Platform. Karnataka Government School AI Learning has reached a new milestone as a 145-year-old government primary school in Chendiya, Karwar taluk, has become the first government primary school in the state to use artificial intelligence for classroom learning. The initiative demonstrates how technology can transform education even in small rural schools. Developed by teachers Chandrakanth Gouda and Josephine G. Lima after receiving DIET e-resource training, the AI-enabled educational website features more than 120 audio-visual lessons, interactive activities, science simulations, virtual tours, 3D educational content and AI-generated historical explanations. The platform also helps parents to monitor their children’s learning and supports students preparing for competitive examinations. The initiative reflects Karnataka’s growing focus on integrating AI into education, complementing the state’s broader AI education reforms.
