GATE 2027 Exam Dates Announced: IIT Madras Introduces New Robotics Paper and Revised Syllabus. IIT Madras, the organizing institute for this year’s Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), has announced the GATE 2027 exam dates. The computer-based examination will be conducted over multiple sessions in February 2027, while the online registration process will begin on August 14, 2026. IIT Madras will conduct the GATE 2027 examinations on February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21, 2027. The computer-based test (CBT) will be held across two shifts (forenoon and afternoon) on each of these days. A major highlight of GATE 2027 is the introduction of a new Robotics and Automation (RA) paper, reflecting the growing demand for robotics and AI-related careers. Additionally, the syllabus has been revised for the first time in five years to align with current academic and industry requirements. The Textile Engineering and Fibre Science paper has also been integrated as a sectional paper under Engineering Sciences (XE). The overall exam pattern remains unchanged.
