5 Delhi government school girls have been selected to participate in a prestigious Space Science Workshop at the U.S. Space & Rocket Centre in Alabama, USA, after excelling in a citywide STEM competition. More than 400 students from government and government-aided schools applied for the programme, with candidates undergoing STEM assessments, statement of purpose evaluations and hands-on science project presentations. The selected students will attend a week-long workshop during October–November 2026, gaining practical exposure to space science, engineering and innovation. The initiative is being conducted under the Saksham programme in partnership with Honeywell Technologies to encourage girls to pursue careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) and inspire future scientists and space explorers.
