Blurgs AI Funding has received a major boost as the IIT Madras alumni-founded deep-tech startup secured $2.2 million in its first institutional funding round to expand its AI-powered intelligence platforms globally. Founded by Roshan Raj Mohanty and Dr. Avinash Kori, Blurgs AI develops artificial intelligence solutions for defense, national security, commercial maritime operations, ports, shipyards, and fisheries. Pravega Ventures and Shastra VC led the funding round, with prominent angel investors also participating. The company plans to strengthen its AI technology, expand its engineering team, and accelerate international growth. Blurgs AI is already serving organizations including the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, DRDO laboratories, and major maritime authorities, showcasing India’s growing leadership in AI-driven deep-tech innovation.
