CBSE Cyber Clubs will soon be established in affiliated schools as the board introduces Cyber Safety courses to help students develop safe and responsible digital habits. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has directed its affiliated schools to set up Cyber Clubs and promote a 2.5 hour cyber safety course to improve students’ digital awareness. The initiative will train learners on responsible use of the internet, online privacy, cyber threats, digital ethics and safe social media practices. Cyber Clubs will encourage students to be responsible digital citizens through interactive sessions, discussions and awareness programmes and learn to identify online risks and prevent cyber crime. In order to build long-term digital resilience, schools are expected to integrate these activities into their academic environment. The initiative is part of CBSE’s broader effort to create a safer digital learning environment for students across the country.
