India finished its campaign at the ISSF Junior World Championship 2026 in Suhl, Germany with yet another strong show on the concluding day. Raj Chandra claimed bronze in the men’s 50m pistol while Kumar Yogesh finished fourth, just missing out on a podium finish. India’s medal tally in the championships was the best among the participating nations with 24 medals — 13 gold, 3 silver and 8 bronze — and finished second overall behind China. In rifle, pistol and mixed-team events, young Indian shooters have been remarkably consistent, reinforcing the country’s growing strength in junior shooting. The haul of medals is a testament to the country’s strong grassroots development programmes and bodes well for the future of India’s shooting contingent on the international stage.
