Smart Pharmacy Courses Get Modern Upgrade

The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) plans to introduce a revised B.Pharm curriculum from the 2026–27 academic year with greater focus on smart pharmacy technologies. The updated syllabus will include Artificial Intelligence (AI), digital healthcare, clinical pharmacy, hospital training, and pharmacy automation systems. Pharmacy colleges in Karnataka and across India are preparing to introduce modern laboratory facilities and technology-based learning. Researchers say the new curriculum will help students gain practical skills required in hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, research centers, and digital healthcare industries. The changes prepare future pharmacists to meet the needs of technology-enabled health care services and sophisticated medication management systems.
